Objectives of the Course The course is designed to provide practical training in translating medical texts. Students will work on texts from different areas of medicine and pharmacology. The main objectives are to develop a solid understanding of medical translation principles, master specialized medical terminology, and apply effective translation techniques. Throughout the course, students will become familiar with essential resources such as dictionaries, databases, and professional literature, and learn how to effectively use parallel texts to support their translations.
Course Content Essentials of medical translation, a practical approach to medicine, main competencies of a medical translator, understanding medical communication, medical genres, jargon and terminology, identifying and solving the problems of medical translation.
