Objectives of the Course To teach students the recent history of Turkey, developing awareness of democracy.
Course Content Abolition of the Sultanate, Proclamation of the Republic, Abolition of the Caliphate, Turkish Domestic Politics in Atatürk's Period, Atatürk's Revolutions, Turkey's Foreign Policy in Atatürk's Period, World War II and Turkish Foreign Policy, Atatürk's Principles, Post-Atatürk Republic of Turkey.
