Dersin Amacı This course aims to familiarize students with the terminology and background knowledge surrounding critical contemporary issues. Through lectures, discussions, readings, and multimedia resources, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of key concepts related to artificial intelligence, climate crisis, sustainability, social equality, international organizations, conflicts, global health crises, migration, etc.
Dersin İçeriği In this course, students will enhance their proficiency in speaking, discussing, and translating a range of topics including national and international politics, culture, social issues, and general knowledge, all within the context of a critically informed understanding of our rapidly globalizing world.
Dersin Yöntem ve Teknikleri Attendance is a must. There is an absence limit of 30 % of the total course hours (which is 12 hours) in a term. Medical reports are included in these 12 hours. The students who exceed the limit will automatically fail. Partial absence or lateness of 15 minutes or more will be counted as a full class absence. The students should participate in all the activities done in the class and do the assigned homework and presentations. Assignments should be submitted on time. No late submissions will be accepted.
