Dersin Amacı The course aims to introduce the basic concepts of translation theory and practice. Students will be provided with a historical overview of translation theory, and representative thinkers, scholars, translators, and texts.
Dersin İçeriği The critical issues in translation theory and translation studies will be discussed during the course hours and students are expected to learn the language and discourse for discussing translation phenomena.
Dersin Yöntem ve Teknikleri Attendance is a must. There is an absence limit of 30 % of the total course hours (which is 12 hours) in a term. Medical reports are included in these 12 hours. The students who exceed the limit will automatically fail. Partial absence or lateness of 15 minutes or more will be counted as a full class absence. The students should participate in all the activities done in the class and do the assigned homework and presentations. Assignments should be submitted on time. No late submissions will be accepted.
