Objectives of the Course The Systems Analysis and Design course is a practice-oriented course that covers the methods and techniques used for the requirements analysis, modeling, design, and implementation of information systems, encompassing both traditional and agile approaches.
Course Content This course covers the system analysis and design process, modeling techniques, data flow diagrams, user interface and database design, as well as Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.

Course Learning Outcomes: Upon the successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

1 Selects and applies appropriate information-gathering techniques, including interviews, questionnaires, and document analysis, during the systems analysis process.
2 Analyzes system requirements and models the system using Data Flow Diagrams (DFDs) and other system modeling techniques.
3 Designs effective input/output components and user interfaces that meet user requirements in accordance with established design principles.
4 Explains fundamental data concepts and designs file structures and database systems in accordance with system requirements.
5 Plans and evaluates the process of deploying an information system into operation, including installation, testing, and documentation activities.
6 Performs system design using classes, methods, and models within the scope of the object-oriented approach.
7 Compares the differences among Agile approaches (Scrum, Kanban, XP, Lean, and SAFe) and selects and applies the appropriate methodology for different project scenarios.
