Objectives of the Course The aim of this course is to enable students to develop furniture designs through an integrated process from concept generation to production detailing. The course focuses on ergonomics, materials, manufacturing techniques, sustainability, and user-centered design.
Course Content This course covers the principles of furniture design, ergonomics, anthropometry, material selection, manufacturing methods, joinery details, sustainable design approaches, technical drawings, 3D modeling, and prototyping processes.
Course Methods and Techniques Lectures, studio-based learning, project-based learning, technical drawing exercises, 3D modeling, prototype development, and jury reviews.
