Objectives of the Course The aim of this course is to provide students with the knowledge and skills required to design, develop, and manage relational database systems, develop database applications using SQL, and effectively perform database management processes.
Course Content This course covers the fundamental concepts of database systems, DBMS architecture, and data types. Basic and advanced SQL queries (SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, JOIN, GROUP BY, and subqueries) are implemented through practical applications. Database design based on ER diagrams and normalization principles, stored procedures, views, indexes, triggers, transaction management based on ACID principles, user authorization, data security, backup, and recovery are also covered.
