Objectives of the Course	The aim of this course is to develop students' advanced academic research and writing skills by enabling them to plan and conduct academic research, critically evaluate academic sources, apply APA and MLA citation styles appropriately, and produce original research papers in accordance with the principles of academic integrity.
Course Content	The course covers research topic selection, literature review, critical reading, data collection, research planning, organizing research paper chapters, abstract writing, academic source integration, APA and MLA citation styles, summarizing, paraphrasing, plagiarism prevention, ethical use of AI tools in academic writing, proofreading, and the completion of an original academic research paper.
Course Methods and Techniques	The course is delivered through lectures, process-based academic writing activities, applied research practices, academic text analysis, individual supervision, peer review, instructor feedback, classroom discussions, and technology-supported teaching methods.

Course Learning Outcomes: Upon the successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

1	To identify the main components of the writing process such as controlling idea, topic sentence, paragraph and composition.
2	To identify and use basic writing concepts such as support, unity, coherence and outline and presents them verbally withing a pair work.
3	To give students writing skills through readings and multi-drafting process approach to writing for their academic research work in English.
4	To prepare an outline in line with the research topic.
5	To identify and analyse the main parts of a research paper such as introduction, development and conclusion.
6	To encourages critical examination and analyses of the academic texts and articles by teaching to correctly use the preferred citation style in their field of studies and to express those findings verbally within a logic.
7	To assist students in improving their English language writing skills with major components of academic writing (effective occupational writing skills), including skimming, scanning, genre-specific organization and styles, collecting data, paraphrasing, summarization, and citation.
8	To encourages critical examination and analyses of the academic texts (related to students’ departments) and articles by teaching to correctly use the preferred citation style (MLA, APA) in their field of studies.
