Objectives of the Course
|
The aim of this course is to develop students' academic and occupational writing skills by providing them with the competencies required for academic research and written communication. The course aims to improve students' ability to analyze academic texts, formulate research topics, evaluate academic resources, summarize and paraphrase information, apply appropriate citation styles, and produce original academic writing in accordance with the principles of academic integrity.

The course covers the fundamentals of academic writing, academic text organization, advanced sentence structures, academic vocabulary, paragraph and essay development, expository, process, cause-and-effect, problem-solution and argumentative essays, research topic selection, analysis of academic resources, outlining, summarizing, paraphrasing, citation practices, and the stages of academic research writing.
