Objectives of the Course The aim of this course aims to make students familiar with psychoanalytic concepts such as the id, ego, neurosis, anxiety, and hysteria. It is expected them to develop a critical perspective on understanding the theoretical origins of psychopathologies.
Course Content The course covers the origins of psychoanalysis and the fundamental concepts of Freud's ideas such as assessment, free association, dream analysis, transference, and countertransference.
It also presents clinical examples to examine the practical aspects of psychoanalytic technique in the consulting room.
Course Methods and Techniques The classes will be conducted through interactive, in-person group discussions.
