Objectives of the Course This course will be aimed to test and measure of psychological research and testing.
Course Content This course is designed to provide psychology students with the fundamentals of psychometrics in psychological testing, introduce the most widely used psychological tests in clinical, industrial, social, and educational assessments, provide students with hands-on experience in terms of developing and validating a test, and comparing and contrasting different types of testing approaches.

Course Learning Outcomes: Upon the successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

1 Students will define types of reliability.
2 Students will define and appropriately use types of validity.
3 Students will define Classical Test Theory and relate it to concepts of reliability and validity, differentiate it from Item Response Theory.
4 Students will convey the format, content, advantages and disadvantages of various types of assessments pertaining to interest, personality, and abilities used in psychological research, educational, industrial, and clinical testing.
5 Students will describe whether or not a published test has acceptable levels of reliability and various forms of validity.
6 Students will develop a scale based on theory.
7 Students will validate the newly developed scale based on reliability and appropriate forms of validity using real data.
8 Students will report results according to APA style.
