Objectives of the Course
|
This course provides an introduction to the major areas of psychology. It requires students to master the details about the important methods, terms, theories and findings in the field of psychology. The objective of this course is for students to discover the link between psychology as a science and various domains of life such as school and work, to define key psychological concepts including psychological knowledge, research methods in psychology, role of biology in psychology, consciousness, development across lifespan, sensation and perception, learning memory, and theoretical perspectives pertaining to these concepts, and to analyze the usefulness of psychological science for solving daily problems.
