Objectives of the Course The aim of this course is to teach students the principles and standards of technical drawing, enable them to convert between orthographic and perspective drawings, perform proper dimensioning, and develop the ability to prepare two-dimensional technical drawings using AutoCAD.
Course Content Fundamental concepts and standards of technical drawing, line types, geometric constructions, orthographic projection, perspective drawing, generating orthographic views from perspective drawings, dimensioning principles and applications. In the second half of the semester, introduction to AutoCAD, basic drawing and editing commands, layer management, dimensioning, two-dimensional drafting applications, and preparation of technical drawings.
Course Methods and Techniques The course is conducted through lectures, classroom demonstrations, manual technical drawing exercises, problem-solving activities, and AutoCAD applications in the computer laboratory. Students develop manual drafting skills during the first half of the semester and computer-aided two-dimensional drafting skills during the second half.

Assignments Öğrenciler dönem boyunca yaptıkları tüm uygulamaları iki ayrı dosya halinde teslim ederler. Birinci ödev, ilk yedi haftada hazırlanan manuel teknik resim çalışmalarından (üç görünüş, perspektif çizimleri ve ölçülendirme uygulamaları) oluşur ve resim defteri şeklinde teslim edilir. İkinci ödev, ikinci yedi haftada AutoCAD ortamında hazırlanan iki boyutlu teknik çizim çalışmalarının dijital dosyalarından oluşur. Her iki ödev öğrencinin çizim doğruluğu, teknik resim kurallarına uygunluğu, ölçülen
Exams Ara Sınav (%30): Öğrencilerden kâğıt üzerinde teknik resim kurallarına uygun olarak verilen üç görünüşten perspektif çizimi oluşturmaları veya verilen perspektif görünüşten üç görünüş çıkarmaları ve gerekli ölçülendirmeleri yapmaları istenir. Yarıyıl Sonu Sınavı (%50): Öğrencilerden AutoCAD ortamında verilen parçaların iki boyutlu teknik resimlerini hazırlamaları, gerekli düzenleme işlemlerini yapmaları ve teknik resim standartlarına uygun şekilde ölçülendirmeleri beklenir.
